Aren't some patterns known by two or more names, or nicknames?

Practically all Corelle patterns have an official name, but some have gained nicknames over the years.  Nicknames might have been useful at a time when good pattern ID information was non-existent, but now it is fairly easy to find the correct names and the correct spelling too.
